The Tour starts from our base camp in Hveragerdi.

Join us in a fun super jeep tour on the Southern lowlands of Iceland on modified jeep to Thorsmork (the forest of Thor) which is an incredibly beautiful mountain ridge situated between the glaciers Tindfjallajökull & the famous Eyjafjallajökull, which erupted in the year 2010, stopping all the flights in Europe.

On our way into Thorsmork we drive over deep and powerful glacier rivers and over challenging and rough terrain, testing the capability of the jeep. We will stop and explore a beautiful canyon with a hidden waterfall in the end, we will take a look at Gígjökull glacier that almost all disappeared in the 2010 eruption and you will be able to see and witness the power of the eruption.

In Þórsmörk you will be able to choose the difficulty level of the hike/day. As Þórsmörk offers several hiking options, we can go for an easy and relaxing shight seeing with short hikes, exploring the lower parts of the area. We can go for a moderate difficult hike where we will hike higher up in the mountains where we will see magnificent view and landscape or we can go for the most challenging option where we will hike up to Fimmvörðuháls where you will meet the lava that ran in the year 2010, in the famous Eyjafjallajökull eruption.

On our way back we will stop at the famous waterfall. Seljarlandsfoss, where you will be able to go behind the waterfall and explore while we will pump air back into the tires of the jeep. If you have already explored Seljarlandsfoss, then we will stop at another location.

Þorsmork is known for its beauty, vibrantly colored valleys and abundance of huge surrounding mountains and glaciers that will for sure deliver an unforgettable experience.

Note,
- ADD A BBQ DINNER, Then we would end the day by barbequing together in Thorsmork (Basum) before driving back.
- It is possible to add to the tour an overnight in a tent or in a cabin
- The tour is a private tour which means that you control how difficult you like the day to be. The guide will have several options :D

Eða stoppa á mörgum stöðum og fara í margar stuttar göngur þar sem skoðuð eru t.d gil , faldir fossar og gengið upp á auðvelda hnjúka og tinda sem bjóða upp á ægifagurt útsýni

Við munum stoppa við Gígjökul þar sem neðsti hluti jökulsins er horfinn sem og lónið sem hvarf í eldgosinu 2010

One of the most unique ways to do the Golden circle. In this tour we combine our golden circle tour with visit into a 5.000 years old lava cave with lunch in the dark, stop at a black sandy beach, drink a 500 years old glacier water from the source and visit the famous Geysir and Gullfoss as well as stoping at our national park, Þingvellir.

This is a full day adventure!

Here belowe you can see what the tour includes:
- We will start the tour by showing you Hveragerdi the capital of hotsprings, the town is positioned on an active volcanic zone and earthquakes are frequent thanks to the tectonic movements that rumble below. Our local guide will tell you the story of the town and show you hotsprings that bursted through the ground in the last earthquake that happened on May 29th 2008, with a magnitude of 6,2 on the richter scale. We will also show you how we can use the heat from the ground, by cooking an egg in a boiling hotspring and eat bread that has been baked in the ground for 24 hours.
- We will visit a 10 km long black sandy beach
- We will visit Geysir and witness Strokkur bursting the boiling hot water high up in the air.
- We will have the option of having lunch at Gullfoss cafe where you can for excample taste the Icelandic traditional lamb soup, one of Icelanders favorite dishes. lunch is not included.
- We will visit Gullfoss (Golden waterfall) where we will explore this magnificent waterfall, standing on the edge of the waterfall and feel the power of the glacial water and perhaps the mist on your face.
- We will visit a remote lava cave where you will witness beautiful lava and ice formation in the dark where trolls are beleaved to live. Insite the cave we can enjoy the silence over a hot cup of Hotchocolate.
- You will get to taste a 500+ years old glacier water straigt from the source
- We will visit Thingvellir our national park where the oldest parliament in the world is, the guide will hike with you through the area and point out some interesting stories from the area and his ancestors, the vikings.
This tour is full of adventures and offers a great scenery for photographing.

Í ferðinni er notast við breyttann jeppa sem gefur okkur flr. valkosti í ferðinni og gerir okkur kleift að komast að stöðum sem eru oft ekki færir minni bílum.

Ferðin hefst í heimabænum okkar Hveragerði þar sem við munum sýna ykkur bæinn, með okkar
augum. Bærinn er þekktur fyrir stórkostlega náttúru, jarðhita, jarðskjálfta, fjölbreitt mannlíf
garðyrkju og sögu þó ekki sé bærinn gamall. Áður en haldið er á brott munum við fá okkur nesti sem er að hluta eldað í hver á svæðinu.

Í þessari ferð munum við heimsækja 10 km langa sandfjöru, það má segja að svartar sandstrendur séu eitt af megineinkennum suðurstrandlínu Íslands.

Við munum einnig kanna ævintýralegan Hraunhelli þar sem gestum verður boðið upp á heitt súkkulaði jafnramt því að njóta kyrrðar og litadýrðar hellisins.

This tour offers a great experience, traveling over fun and challenging landscape on a modified jeep, driving over rivers and streams and explore a 10 km long black sandy beach. Then we will end the tour in our town Hveragerdi, known for hotsprings and green houses, where we will go for a fun hike with a true local guide, who grew up on the area and will be able to point out interesting facts and the geological history and how the people have been living around the hotpsrings for the past 100 year. We will stop at a local green house where we have been growing bananas for the past 60 years, we will also stop at a new hotspring area that came to live in a big earthquake in the year 2008 where you will witness hotsprings coming out of of the ground all around us. Then we will end the tour by cooking a complete 3 course lunch or dinner in a hotspring and eat under the open sky.

The tour includes 3 course traditional Icelandic dinner or lunch, cooked in a hot spring. That you will get to enjoy with the open sky above you and amazing landscape all around you

Í þessari ferð munum við ferðast um stórbrotna náttúru Hengilsvæðisins á sérútbúnum jeppa, upp brattar brekkur, yfir ár og eftir skemmtilegum slóðum á Hengilsvæðinu sem er eitt stærsta háhitasvæði Íslands. Svæðið hefur mikinn fjölbreytileika að geyma þar sem má finna græna dali ,fallegar klettamyndanir og hraun, óviðjafnalegt útsýni og mikið magn hverasvæða.

Hengilsvæðið er einnig eitt stærsta eldfjallasvæði Íslands og munum við fræða ykkur um jarðsögu þess sem og eldvirkni svæðisins undangenginna árþúsunda. þessi ferð gefur tækifæri á mörgum stuttum göngutúrum til að komast í meiri nánd við náttúruna.
