This is a great bike tour that offers a great selection of fun single tracks that were mostly made by the Icelandic sheep on the outskirt of the Hengill Volcanic area, the second biggest volcanic area of Iceland. We will have a great view as we bike though historical places and witness a great contrast in the landscape as we travel though beautiful & unique rocky environment. We will explore caves and small canyons, a waterfall and a beautiful closed valley of grass where farmers kept their cows, a century ago.
In this tour we are biking on a volcanic area with the lava under our wheels. Most of the tour will be on paths less traveled, so most of the time we will have the whole area to ourselves.Note,- The tour is set up for more advanced riders, the lava will offer a great grip for the tires and some of the loose rocks and gravel will test the balance as the riders pick their own lines to take. There will be some hills where we will have to carry the bike up short section at the time.
- But on request this tour can be set up more easy with allot of flow, for those who would like a less physically challenging ride.
