Volcano Overnight Tour / Útileguferð

• Explore the second biggest volcanic area of Iceland with local guides, camping on a remote location with your own natural bathing spot next to your tent and use the geothermal power to cook dinner. This is the true Icelandic experience.

  Day 1

  The tour starts in the afternoon by preparing at our office and making sure we have everything we need for the next 24 hours. Then we will load the super jeep and drive up to the mountain where we will be crossing several rivers and testing the jeeps in challenging landscape until we reach one of our remote camping spots, where we will set up our tents and enjoy the ultimate summer night. In the evening you will have the option to bath in a secret bathing spot next to your tent and while we bath we will cook a complete earth cooked dinner in the Hotsprings.

   

  Day 2

  We will start with a good hotspring cooked breakfast before starting a great hike. We have quite a good variety of hikes we can do on the second day depending on how you are feeling and how challenging hike you are looking for. We can hike up to high peaks with a great view, explosion craters or take an easier hike with loads of hot springs and several bathing options. We know enough tracks to hike with you on that area for more than 6 days around our camping spot, mostly on tracks that are less known. Then on the second part of the day we will pack up the tents and load the jeep and drive to our office in Hveragerdi

  Ferðin hefst síðdegis í aðstöðu okkar í Hveragerði þar sem við græjum okkur fyrir ferðina og setjum farangurinn  í sérútbúinn jeppa og gætum þess að við höfum allt sem á þarf að halda fyrir ferðina.
  Síðan er haldið til fjalla og jeppast aðeins á leiðinni. Er á áfanga stað er komið eru tjöldin sett upp. Að því loknu gefst kostur á að slaka á í náttúrulegri laug á meðan kvöldmaturinn eldast í rólegheitunum í hver rétt hjá og verður þriggja rétta kvöldmatur á boðstólum.

  Hefst með staðgóðum hveraelduðum morgunverði.
  Við höfum marga göngumöguleika þennan daginn hvort er fólk vill ganga á krefjandi tinda ,gíga eða fara í heldur léttari göngu þar sem meiri áhersla er lögð í að kanna lítt könnuð hverasvæði. Að göngudegi loknum er hægt að láta líða úr sér í náttúrulauginni áður en við göngum frá búnaði okkar og höldum til byggða.

Secret Bathing & Hotspring Cooking /

• Bathing in a secret hotspring,  with no one else around you, is truly an amazing experience. One of many Iceland Activities family secrets, this tour suits everyone who is up for an adventure as we have different options for hiking and bathing for people of different ability level. We will travel on a super jeep up to the starting point on various places in the south part of Iceland where we will start the hike from. You will be hiking with a beautiful landscape all around you and a great number of hotsprings. We will share with you our extended local knowledge and experience of the area, we will show you how we have been using the hotsprings for the past 30 years in our family tours to cook food as well as offering you a chance to bath in a secret hotspring where you can enjoy the peaceful volcanic surroundings that will for sure offer a memorable experience.

  In the hotspring we will cook together delicious tomato soup and Icelandic eggs and offer you to taste a hotspring baked bread that has been cooked in the ground for 24 hours.

  You can upgrade the earthcooking to a full meal! Vegetarian, Salmon or leg of lamb that we will cook in the hotspring while we bath.

Hotsprings Mountain Circle

• In this tour we will hike mostly on less traveled mountain trails made originally by the Icelandic sheep. You will witness unique Icelandic nature with natural steam and bubbling water in the magnificent landscape all around you. After strolling through the beautiful hills in the Hengill volcanic area, you will get a chance to take a dip into a geothermal river in Reykjadalur while enjoying the sounds of the peaceful nature.

  This tour offers beautiful Icelandic landscape and great variety geothermal springs as well as traveling on roads/paths less traveled.
